Thought of this quote after reading @rookcanrun post from yesterday about not being fast enough to be called a runner.
I totally agree with him about wanting to be faster but I really do think we are all runners- as long as we are getting out there pounding the pavement!
It’s hard. Like easier-said-than-done hard. If you’ve never had a chunk of weight to lose (lucky you!) you probably have no idea exactly how hard. It’s easy to want when you’re full, but not se easy to do when you’re hungry. It takes time. A long time. And the scale never lies; in the long run….
Reblogging this so I can read it again in the future. It is truth.
I think clearly the most important question about the tour is what stops will Jed be making with you guys???

Absolute Truth! If all you have are excuses…then I guess it’s not that important to you.
You may encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated. In fact, it may be necessary to encounter the defeats, so you can know who you are, what you cand rise from, how you can still come out of it.
Had a great time in Cincinnati last night at the Official Unofficial Do Life 5K. Jed and I got to talk some football while we were walking, and maybe the best news is that after a day walking at the zoo and then the 5K walk/run, I have no heel pain today from my plantar faciitis. So, that means that it’s time to buckle down and get rolling on that half-marathon training plan!
Completed the Warrior Dash last weekend. Had a wonderful time with my family cheering me on!

GPOYW - Cap City Quarter Marathon Edition!
I’m here, parked, and at my corral. I strolled past the finish line area and I don’t mind saying that I had tears in my eyes. On Christmas day, it was tough for me to walk two miles and today I will be doing a quarter marathon with 3:30-1:30 run-walk intervals.
